It is time to consider a home improvement project and you have decided on a new marble countertop. You know that Sears does home improvement work and you have called them to come out and provide you an estimate. After reading over your estimate, understanding the Sears licensed contractors will be performing the work, noting the warranty on all work performed you agreed to get the job done.

You have decided on a marble countertop. Marble is a crystallized limestone, there are large machines that can polish the marble to a mirror-finish, which really brings out the depth of its color and looks gorgeous which makes a marble countertop in any room look gorgeous. Since the bathrooms are not used as much as kitchens they make the best rooms to consider using marble instead of another type of countertop. Your new marble countertops will go into the bathrooms. The reason you have selected marble was for its elegant look and the recommendations on its use in bathrooms. The only time you would really consider using a marble countertop in a kitchen would be in a baking or pastry area.

When it came time to make a selection on a color, the rich tones of the marble are plentiful. You will have choices from creamy whites and neutrals, dreamy yellows, soft oranges, ocean greens and amazing blacks. The dramatic veining looks spectacular on marble countertop and even on floors and easily complements most home designs and themes. You have made your color selections for both bathrooms and a date is scheduled. Sears offers flexible financing with their home improvement services and even though you are not sure if you need that option, it is an option available to you.

Marble countertops used to be considered a sophisticated extravagance and found in the homes of the wealthy. Due to the improved technology and availability anyone can now afford the luxury of having marble countertops in their home. You do have to be careful with fruit juice, soda, coffee, alcohol, etc., the marble will "etch" when it comes in contact with acids. This is one of the reasons they suggest not using is for a full kitchen. Although, if you are a baker a separate marble countertop to make your pie crusts would be pretty awesome since marble surfaces are the best to roll out dough, pie crusts and pastries.

Think about Sears and think about a marble countertop the next time you would like to do a home improvement project. One small job can make a room look fresh and new and with the choice of marble you can never go wrong and you will understand when you see the end results. Your powder room will have been kissed with a touch of elegance.
